Dee Cox Honored with Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS' Community Service Award

Dee Cox, of the Libertyville office, received the second annual Mainstreet Organization of REALTORS® Community Service Award yesterday! She received the award for her exceptional commitment to the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation which strives to make the community a better place in which to live. Members of the Mainstreet Organization presented the award to her at a Prudential Rubloff sales meeting. They also presented her with a $1000 donation for the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation. “We are so proud of Dee and the volunteer work she has done to help the Libertyville community over the last nine years,” said Lisa Cokefair, Branch Manager. “For the past two years, she has been Co-Chairperson planning and coordinating the annual fundraising event for the Civic Center. She donates over 200 hours a year to the Organization and its Board of Directors. During the last 16 months, she has helped raise $60,000 for upkeep and improvements.” The Libertyville Civic Center Foundation provides gathering space for community organizations and individuals at reasonable rates and deep discounts for charitable organizations. The senior council is hosted in this building and provides programs, clubs and lunches for area seniors. They host dances, games, and numerous events. Meals on Wheels uses the building each weekly as their starting point to deliver meals for home bound seniors. The Community Service Award recognizes REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities through volunteer work. Nominees are eligible based on their contribution to a program that improves livability in a local community, contributing a significant amount of personal time to their cause and ability to document their results and involvement.
